Make an Appointment

Overview

You are welcome to drop in to the Writing Center without an appointment, and any available tutor will work with you. We suggest making an appointment, however, to guarantee a session:

1. Call (617) 521-2474 or come to the Academic Achievement Center front desk (P304) to schedule an appointment.
2. You may request a specific tutor, depending on his or her availability. See the Spring 2008 tutor schedule for tutors' areas of expertise and hours.
3. Specify whether you would like a ½ hour or an hour appointment.

When you come for your appointment:

• Please have your assignment printed out in advance, as the Writing Center has no printing capabilities.
• Bring your instructor's assignment sheet, if you have one, so the tutor can understand the instructor's expectations.
• Be prepared to ask some specific questions of the tutor or to identify your main concerns about the assignment.
