Policies for Use of the Writing Center

Overview

One of our most important objectives at the Writing Center is to help you become more confident with your writing and more independent as a writer. In addition, we want to make sure that all Simmons students have a fair chance at getting appointments. To help us meet these goals, we ask that you observe the following policies:

• Use the Writing Center up to one hour per day and up to two hours per week.
• Arrive on time to get the full benefit of your session and to ensure that you do not lose your time slot to someone else waiting.
• If you know you cannot make it to an appointment, please call us 24 hours in advance to cancel so that we can make the session available to another student.
