Overview
Deadline Extension: We will accept submissions for the 2008 issue of Essays and Studies through October 15. Please see guidelines below.
Essays & Studies, founded in 1943, is the journal of academic work by students in the College of Arts and Sciences at Simmons College. Its editors are committed to publishing excellent papers each year from by graduate and undergraduate students from all disciplines.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008
Paper specifications:
- 10pp. max. length (not including references, notes, and appendices), double-spaced, 1" margins, 12pt. Times New Roman
- Include an abstract (300 words maximum)
- Use publication style (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual, etc.) appropriate for discipline
Submission instructions:
- You must submit your paper by the end of the day on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008.
- Submit via attached document (MS Word) to terry.muller@simmons.edu
- In body of e-mail, include:
- Name
- Major(s), if declared
- Status (graduate or undergraduate student)
- Graduation year
- Name of course in which the paper originated
- Name of the associated professor
If your paper is accepted, the editors of Essays & Studies may require further revision before publication.
