It’s not too late to join Our 8-Week Study on the Effects of Yoga vs. Relaxation And Feel the Stress Melt Away
The Benefits:
- Exercise & relax during lunchtime with your fellow staff, faculty, and students
- No fee for participation in classes taught by a certified yoga instructor
- Free yoga mat for full participation
Your Commitment:
- Attend class 3x/week for 8 weeks (Feb. - Apr.)
- Participation in pre and post exercise and mood state testing (1 session in late January and 1 session in April)
- Commitment to random assignment in either the hatha yoga class (Mon, Wed, & Fridays from 12-12:50pm) or the relaxation class (Mon, Wed, & Fridays from 1-1:20pm)
All Participants Must Be:
- Currently sedentary or lightly active
- Free from cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic disease
- Free from major joint limitations
- A Simmons College employee or student
