On Monday April 4, at 8am, Simmons will be switching long distance carriers for calls made from any Simmons offices.  The currently issued AT&T long distance codes will no longer work as of April 4.

In the coming weeks, Technology will distribute, via campus mail, to each faculty and staff member who has an office phone, a letter containing their new long distance dialing code.  These codes are for individual use and are not to be shared.  If you have not received this letter by Friday March 25, please contact Patricia Santoro at x2195, who will assist you in obtaining your new long distance code.

In general, codes are not issued to adjunct faculty or staff without separate phone lines.  If codes are needed for such faculty or staff, managers or departmental chairs should contact Patricia Santoro at x2195.

Starting Monday April 4, upon dialing long distance calls, you will no longer be greeted with the voice message “AT&T, Please enter your AT&T personal security code”, but instead will here a tone.  At the tone, you must enter your new security code.

If you have any further questions regarding the change of long distance service, please contact the Help Desk at x2222 or helpdesk@simmons.edu.
