Jumpstart is still hiring for the upcoming year. If you enjoy working with children, consider serving with Jumpstart. You can serve with Jumpstart as a work-study student or as a volunteer.

Jumpstart is an AmeriCorps program that recruits college students to mentor preschool-age children who need you. Earn an AmeriCorps education award and a work-study wage by reading stories, singing songs and playing games that support young children’s school readiness. Jumpstart Corps members work on teams with other college students for 12-14 hours a week in local early childhood and Head Start centers, paired one-on-one with a partner child. Gain valuable skills and experience, earn federal work-study money, and make a difference in the life of a child! Visit our website and apply now at http://www.jstart.org/simmons.
