Simmons College School of Social Work and the LGBTI Affinity Group welcome Cheryl Jacques as keynote speaker for a special event to highlight Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex Awareness Week, October 12 through the 19th.
Cheryl, a national leader in the gay civil rights movement, writes and speaks nationally on issues of diversity, civil rights, and politics. Her title for her address at Simmons is “The Gay Civil Rights Movement: Where It Is, Where It’s Going”.
A former Massachusetts State Senator and President/Executive Director of the Human Rights Campaign, Cheryl is currently a consultant on diversity issues to corporations and non-profit organizations.
This event is open to the public and to all members of the Simmons College community and The Colleges of The Fenway. It is being held on October 19, 2005 from 6:00 to 7:30 in the Paresky Conference Center of Simmons College, 300 The Fenway, Boston, MA 02115
