This is the "all-clear" alert from Technology at Simmons College.
The WebCT Vista server is back up. Our testing has indicated that the hardware problem did not affect any course material. If you notice otherwise, please contact the Help Desk immediately (helpdesk@simmons.edu; 617-521-2222, option 8).
The WebCT Vista server was down between 5 am, when scheduled hardware maintenance began, and 10:30 am on October 26, 2005. We installed a new device controller, and the system did not reboot, even after removing the new controller. We have addressed this issue, and the server has booted normally.
All Simmons technology services are now operating normally.
