In honor of the 100th anniversary of its founding, the Alumnae Association of Simmons College will fund up to five grants of $500 to members of the Simmons community. The Alumnae Association of Simmons College Centennial Grants will fund programming that enhances community development and supports the College's strategic focus and initiatives. Consideration will be given to applicants whose proposal includes innovative events or programming that will enrich the Simmons community and/or that supports the College's strategy to position Simmons as an authority on women, education for the professions, leadership, and diversity.
Eligible participants include individual undergraduate students or student groups (clubs and dorms), faculty, staff, academic departments, and staff organizations. No more than five grants will be awarded each year and the number of awarded grants will vary based on the quality of applications. The maximum grant award will be $500.
Completed applications must include a two-page cover document, a narrative proposal no longer than two pages, and a detailed budget. Grant applications for second semester must be submitted by December 23, 2005, via email to marshakirsh@aol.com. All grant documents are available online at http://www.simmons.edu/enews/alumnet/harris/AAEB%20Grant%20Application.doc. A printed copy of the completed application packet, including signatures from academic advisors or academic department heads, must also be filed with the Office of Alumnae/i Relations.

We look forward to supporting your proposals and strengthening the relationship with your Alumnae Association.
Sincerely,
