Important Construction Notice
The Facilities Department would like to let you know that if you are in the library on Tuesday, January 31, starting at about 9:30 AM, you may hear The Boston Fire Department testing the fire alarm system. This is related to getting final approval for the fire alarm in the new library building. The horns and strobe lights for the fire alarm in the current library will go off approximately 3 to 4 times for approximately 30 seconds each time. We will work with the Boston Fire Department to minimize this disruption as much as possible. In the new building the fire alarm will have more extensive testing. You may hear and see this intermittently throughout the day Tuesday (1/31/06).
This fire alarm testing is an important step to obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy for the library building. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this testing and will try and minimize the impact as much as possible. Please contact Steven Gusmini in Facilities, extension 2243, or at steven.gusmini@simmons.edu if you have any questions or concerns about the content of this notice.
