In honor of Black History Month, the Zora Neale Hurston Literary Center is pleased to bring you a reading with acclaimed African-American poet, Sam Cornish.
Wednesday, February 22, 2006 7:00-8:30pm Linda K. Paresky Conference Center
This event is free and open to the public.
Mr. Cornish's poetry has been praised for its lyricism and perceptive attention to historical detail by Amiri Baraka, Lucille Clifton, and Maya Angelou, to name just a few! His poems reference blues and jazz musicians, political activism and activists, the fight for civil rights, and the Black experience in America.
Don't miss this chance to see and hear one of the fathers of contemporary African-American poetry in person!
