Technology Notice: Sophos update availability

Tuesday March 28, begining at 8:30am, SOPHOS Anti-Virus updates will be unavailable while maintenance is performed on the server that provides them. For users who have installed the free SOPHOS client, and users of college owned computers with SOPHOS installed, such as those in the Information Commons and some labs, this will result in a small red "X" in the corner of the SOPHOS blue shield in the menu bar. Additionally, users of Microsoft XP with Sophos installed may receive an alert from the Microsoft Security Center application, resulting in a red shield in the menu bar.
Your computer remains protected from all known viruses since its last update. We expect the server which provides SOPHOS updates to be back in operation by the evening, around 5:30PM.
