We are pleased to announce that this year’s Eileen Friars Leader in Residence is Evelyn Murphy, former Secretary of Environmental Affairs and Lt. Governor of Massachusetts. She was the first woman in the state’s history to hold statewide office. She is the founder and president of The WAGE (Women Are Getting Even) Project, and has wrote Getting Even: Why Women Don’t Get Paid Like Men—And What to Do About It.

She will be on campus for a public talk open to the entire Simmons Community on April 11 at 4:00 p.m. in C-103. A reception and book signing will follow.
