Disability Services Coordinator Krista Stokes

The Disability Services Office is pleased to announce that the newly created position of Disability Services Coordinator has been accepted by Krista Stokes. Krista will begin her position at Simmons starting September 1st. Krista will be working closely with Todd Herriott, the ADA Compliance Officer/Director of Disability Services, to approve and coordinate academic accommodations for both graduate and undergraduate students registered with the Disability Services Office. Krista will also be available to answer questions from instructors regarding accommodations or other student issues. The addition of Krista’s position will allow the Disability Services Office to better serve the entire campus.
Krista is originally from Indiana, PA, which is a small town east of Pittsburgh. She has been residing in Pittsburgh since 2003. Krista has her B.A. in International Studies and her M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Krista worked within the Disability Support Services office while working on her Masters.
Krista is excited to move to the Boston area and join the Simmons community. Krista’s husband, Michael, will be joining her shortly once their house has been sold in Pittsburgh. Please welcome Krista and introduce yourself if you see her on campus. We are sure that she will be an excellent addition to the Simmons campus.
