September 11th Remembrance Ceremony
Monday, September 11th, 2006
Noon
Student Activities Lounge (up the ramp from the bookstore)
Join the campus community for a remembrance ceremony in the Student Activities Lounge to share thoughts and memories on the fifth anniversary of September 11th. There will be a moment of silence from 12:15-12:16 p.m. followed by brief remarks from Dan Connell of the Communications Department. If you are unable to join us, we invite you to observe this silence wherever you are. Take the time to remember the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and to recognize the subsequent impact that it has had on our global community.
In preparation for the ceremony, we invite you to pick up a commemorative ribbon from the Office of Student Leadership and Activities (W002, MCB) beginning on Friday, September 8th at noon or during the Undergraduate Student Organization Fair on the Residence Campus Quad from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and again from W-002 on Monday, September 11, 2006. We encourage you to wear this ribbon all day on Monday, September 11th.
For any questions regarding this ceremony, please feel free to contact the Office of Student Leadership and Activities at (617) 521-2423 or studentactivities@simmons.edu
