Update on Construction in the Main Driveway

We are making great progress on the utility work at the Palace Road end of the driveway. Unfortunately due to unforeseen underground obstructions, the completion of the new utilities will take two weeks longer than anticipated. This work will now continue for another two weeks .

The work hours will be the same as the past two weeks — The contractor will continue working from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day and there will continue to be no vehicular or pedestrian traffic to Palace Road. Any cars leaving the Palace Road garage during these hours will need to exit the driveway on Avenue Louis Pasteur. Pedestrians and bicycles will not be able to cut through campus along the driveway during these hours.

Full access to and from the garage will be maintained at ALL times. Access to and from Avenue Louis Pasteur is NOT affected by this change. As always, there will be regular access to Palace Road from the driveway after 3:30 each day. The Public Safety detail will remain in place to assist traffic flow for the remainder of this work. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact Dominic Ingegneri in Facilities at Dominic.Ingegneri@simmons.edu or ext 2063 with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation with this work so far and for your continued patience.
