To all faculty, staff and students:
We would like to remind you to file an amended Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, if your filing status or exemption allowances have changed since the last time you completed a W-4 Form.
For your review, this information is listed on your pay stub.
If you wish to adjust your tax withholding, please come to the Payroll and Benefits Office in W-105 to complete a new W-4 Form
Also, please verify the address on your paychecks for accuracy. The address on file is where your W-2 will be mailed in January. Please come to the Payroll and Benefits Office if you need to change this address.
Finally, please note that starting 1/1/2007, Massachusetts will make the first of two increases to the state minimum wage rate. Effective 1/1/2007, the minimum wage will increase from $6.75 to $7.50 per hour. And, effective 1/1/2008, the minimum wage will then increase from $7.50 to $8.00 per hour.
Please note that for all work beginning on 1/1/2007, all time sheets submitted for any temporary staff or students must have an hourly rate no less than $7.50 noted on the time sheet. In addition, it will not be necessary to complete new referral forms for any student who is currently paid less than the new rate of $7.50; the Payroll Office will make the mandated change for these students for the remainder of the academic year.
