Dear Colleges of the Fenway Students!
My name is Vinnie Rodriguez and I am the 2007 Culture Shock planning director. We are hosting the annual Colleges of the Fenway Culture Shock (description below) on March 30th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Watson Auditorium at Wentworth. We are in need of students or student groups to perform at this year’s event or participate in our fashion show. Please visit http://myweb.wit.edu/slp/cultureshock_performanceapp.pdf for a downloadable performance application form.
Performances of the past have included step shows, holiday celebrations such as Diwali and Chinese New Year, dances, poetry slams, singing, musical performances, comedy, and short skits or plays.
So join in on the fun and celebrate your culture with Culture Shock 2007!
“Culture Shock is the hottest night of the year for presenting cultural diversity. It’s an opportunity for you and your friends to share your cultural traditions through dance, music, and other types of performances. The night is filled with performances that range from Irish step dance to poetry, playing any [global] instrument, salsa and contemporary Indian dance.
Following the performances is a Cultural Fashion Show. We have had packed audiences over the years with students, faculty, staff, family, and friends.
Oh, and of course to make it a true night of celebrating culture, we will be serving different cultural foods and drinks during intermission!
Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door and can be purchased at the Student Box Office.
