On Wednesday, April 11 at 12:30 in P113, Susan Duty (Nursing) and Geoff Turner (Psychology) will present “What Are Your Students Thinking?: Deepening Engagement and Understanding with PRS ‘Clickers’,” the last in this semester’s series of Academic Technology faculty lunches.
In many classes, particularly those with large enrollments, it can be difficult to for the professor to gauge the thoughts and reactions of their students. PRS “clickers” make it possible to poll students, solicit feedback, assess student learning, take attendance, and even conduct research demonstrations in the classroom. At this lunch you will learn how clickers are being used in two very different courses — nursing and psychology — in addition to hearing tips for using this technology effectively. You will also get to experiment with clickers, experience them firsthand, and find out how you can take them for a test drive in your classes.
