JUMPSTART is hiring for the 2007-2008 school year! Jumpstart is an AmeriCorps program that recruits college students to mentor preschool-age children who need you. Earn an AmeriCorps education award and a work-study wage ($8.50/hour) by reading stories, singing songs and playing games that support young children’s school readiness. Jumpstart Corps members work on teams with other college students for 12-14 hours a week in local early childhood and Head Start centers, paired one-on-one with a partner child. If you are interested in Jumpstart, please keep the program in mind when finalizing your fall 2007 classes. To serve with Jumpstart, you will need two afternoons free each week. from 2:30-6pm.
