The play about “those words” is stirring things up across the United States on their 2006-2007 National Tour. The LA-based theater company Speak Theater Arts thinks the rest of the country is ready for a comedy – yes, a comedy - about race in America - N#GGER WETB#CK CH#NK.
Blending theater, hip-hop, stand-up comedy, slam poetry, and true-life stories with their own original style, three tour-de-force performers take on racial slurs, stereotypes and the concept of race itself in this 90-minute stage production.

In doing this show we hope to de-power these words for ourselves and for our audiences.”
