The E.B. Rawlins Student Assistance Fund was set up by Dr. Elizabeth B. Rawlins (former professor of education at Simmons). This fund is limited and is used as an emergency fund for undergraduate African American Students in need.

The money is barrowed interest free (unless the repayment agreement is not met) and is to be paid back immediately or beginning 6 months after graduation. The maximum amount that may be barrowed is $750/academic year with a $3000 cap. This fund relies fully on each student’s repayment.

To apply for the E.B. Rawlins Student Assistance Fund, please contact Assistant Dean for Student Life/Director of Multicultural Affairs, Lisa Smith-McQueenie @ (617)521-2124 or lisa.smithmcqueenie@simmons.edu.
