Planning a Catered Event?

As we anticipate the next academic year and look forward to providing the best possible dining and catering experience for you, we would like to remind folks about the following policies.

Catered Events

Either ARAMARK or an outside vendor may be hired for any catered event costing less than $200. If an outside vendor is used then the hired vendor, organization, or individual must provide all supplies and be responsible for clean-up after the event. The organization is also responsible for any additional costs incurred if full clean-up is not done. Please contact Jeffrey Stone, the Director of Dining, to receive permission to use an outside catering company. He can be reached at jeffrey.stone@simmons.edu or at x1072.

Any catered event estimated to cost $200 or more must be catered by the Simmons Catering department. ARAMARK will work with you to provide the best possible event at the most cost effective price.

Student groups are required to get a signature from Student Activities for all events. This signature affirms the above policy.

48 Hour Policy

We would like to reaffirm our policy that all orders be placed at least 48 hours (2 business days) in advance of the event. This allows us to serve you in the best possible way by ensuring that we have the freshest food available and all the supplies (linens, silverware, etc.) needed for a successful event. You might be surprised to know that on any one day we can have as many as thirty events to cater!
