Increasing Internet Bandwidth

Simmons Internet capacity is increasing due to a project next Monday and Tuesday evening (July 16 and 17). There may be momentary Internet service interruptions while the changes are made.
The College uses the Colleges of the Fenway for Internet access. Colleges of the Fenway, in turn, uses two different Internet service providers. The capacity of each of those two links is being doubled next week, one on Monday evening and the other Tuesday evening.
At approximately 6 p.m. each night one of the links will be disabled, switched to higher capacity, and re-enabled. We expect only momentary interruption to service, and few people should notice any interruption. There is a tiny chance that while upgrading one link, the other might fail, resulting in a short (under fifteen minute) Internet outage.
