The American Library Association Student Chapter (ALASC) is having its first meeting of the semester this Thursday, September 20th, at 1pm in the GSLIS student lounge. Em Claire Knowles, Assistant Dean for Student Administrative Services and Councilor at Large for the ALA, and Liz Galoozis, the 2007 recipient of the ALA Student-to-Staff grant, will discuss their experiences from this summer’s ALA annual conference. All students who attended ALA ‘07 are encouraged to come and share their conference stories! In addition, we will be discussing and brainstorming ideas for ALASC-sponsored events for the ‘07-‘08 school year, as well as soliciting interest in leadership positions. Pizza will be served!
