Join the Student Labor Action Project (SLAP) for our first meeting this year.
When: 4 pm Tuesday, October 2
Where: Java City Cafe - MCB
Why: Over the past 4 years we have been discussing and organizing with workers to obtain a better contract for the staff of Simmons. We find it important that Simmons (and the companies to which they outsource labor pay a living wage and provide a fare contracts to workers.
Although this is our first meeting, we will be talking with SEIU regarding new contract negotiations for janitors coming up in mid October.
Returning members are encouraged to attend.
