Dear Student Organization Leader:
We want to inform you of the format of the Student Organization Training Day that will be held on Saturday, September 8 and clarify budget training questions.
1. Student Organization Training Day
Saturday, September 8, 2007
Linda K. Paresky Conference Center
9:30a.m. Check In
10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Budget Training
12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. Working Lunch
1:00-2:00 p.m. Event Planning
2. Budget training is mandatory for all presidents and treasurers.
For the budget requests due on September 14 only, organizations are only required to have either their president or treasurer attend a budget training prior to this date. After this date, an organization’s president and treasurer (including co’s) must go through budget training in order to receive funding from SGA.
3. Additional Training Days:
September 12, 2007 (rsvp by Sept.10)
3:30-5:00 p.m.
Budget Training: L428
Event Planning: Tobin Room, 4th Floor Library
September 25, 2007 (rsvp by Sept.21)
3:30-5:00 p.m.
Budget Training: Special Functions Room, 1st Floor, MCB
Event Planning: Tobin Room, 4th Floor Library
After this date, budget trainings will only be offered on a monthly basis.
Please Note: In order to attend trainings, presidents and treasurers MUST RVSP by emailing studentactivities@simmons.edu. You must attend the training in its entirety in order to receive credit for your attendance.
