Allie Megna Named GNAC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

Boston, Mass. - Freshman Allie Megna was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
Megna scored two goals to lead Simmons to a pair of wins last week. With her team trailing 1-0 against Johnson & Wales on Oct. 8, Megna tied the score with just over 10 minutes to go. She also scored the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Rivier on Oct. 13.
A native of Northampton, N.H., Megna set a program record with four assists against Emerson on Oct. 6. She is tied for third in the league with six assists.
The Sharks resume play on Wednesday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Albertus Magnus College for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
