Kelsey Lapenas Named NAC Field Hockey Rookie of Week

Boston, Mass. - Freshman Kelsey Lapenas was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
Lapenas scored a goal and added an assist to lead Simmons to two victories last week. She assisted on the tying goal in a 3-2 come-from-behind win against Wheelock on Tuesday and scored the game-winner in the Shark’s 1-0 win over Becker on Saturday.
A native of Southwick, Mass., Lapenas is third on Simmons with seven points on three goals and one assist.
