Worcester, Mass. – Head basketball coach Tony Price was inducted in the Athletic Hall of Fame at his alma mater, Worcester State College, in a ceremony on Friday, October 19.
Price, who is in his eighth year as assistant athletic director and head basketball coach at Simmons, was three-year standout at Worcester State. He scored over 1,300 career points and was a two-time all-conference selection for the Lancers.
“Being inducted to the Hall of Fame is the crowning moment” said Price, who is the Shark’s all-time winningest coach. “It means that my accomplishments and contributions to WSC athletics have finally been recognized and will live on forever. The award also symbolizes hard work, character, integrity and perseverance, attributes that are larger than the game itself.”
