We are currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2007 Semester! Please follow these guidelines to ensure your piece is eligible for publication.

  1. All submissions must be typed in a readable font.
  2. Submissions must have a COVER PAGE with the author’s/artist’s name, email address (we will require an electronic copy if your piece is selected), phone number (in case there is an editing question), and address (so we can mail you a copy of your published work).
  3. Prose pieces may be no longer than 6 pages double-spaced (on a 9in. x 9in. sized page). Also, do not forget to leave a left-side indent for the gutter when assessing length in formatting.
  4. Photography and artwork can be color or black/white and done in any medium. Slides and photography of three-dimensional work as well as digital art may also be submitted. (If you would like your artwork returned, please include return information.)
  5. For prose, there is a three-piece limit an individual may submit for review and only one may be published in a single issue of SIDELINES. For poetry, there is a five-piece limit an individual may submit for review and only three may be published. For art, there is a ten-piece limit an individual may submit for review and pieces to be published will be determined in relation to the amount of published prose and poetry.
  6. Pieces may be dropped off in the drop-box in the English Department; in Smith Hall Room 307; sent to SIDELINES, Attn. Jennifer Riley, 54 Pilgrim Rd. MSC 166, Boston, MA 02215; or emailed to sidelines.simmons@gmail.com.

AT THIS TIME WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS FROM UNDERGRADUATES OF SIMMONS COLLEGE.
