Brittany Torelli Named GNAC Swimmer of the Week

Boston, Mass. – Sophomore swimmer Brittany Torelli was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week for her efforts in the Sharks tri-meet victory over Elms and Wheelock, the league announced on Tuesday Nov. 6.
A native of Waterbury, Conn., Torelli won two individual events to help Simmons defeat Elms, 70-51, and Wheelock, 75-46, last Saturday at Elms College.
Torelli’s victories came in the 50-meter freestyle (30.52) and the 100-meter freestyle (1:06.14), both are season’s bests.
The Sharks are 2-1 on the season and will travel to Weston, Mass. for a two-day invitational on November 9-10 at Regis College. Friday’s session begins at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday’s competition commences at 2:00 p.m.
