The Simmons College swim team tuned up for this weekend’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference meet on Tuesday night by tying non-conference foe Babson 116-116.

The Sharks got off to a good start when Keri-Ann Arsenault won the 100 freestyle, with teammate Hanna McQuillian coming in third. Caitlin Urciuoli then followed with a win in the 200 freestyle.

Simmons divers, Heather O’Connell and Meredith Carney finished 1-2 in the one meter diving to pick up more points.

Arsenault, who also finished second in the 200 IM, picked up another top finish in the 500 freestyle. Carney and O’Connell flipped spots in the three meter diving, but still took home the top two spots.

The Sharks are back in action Saturday at the Holmes Sports Center, when they take part in the GNAC Swim Championships. Preliminary rounds take place in the morning beginning at 10 a.m. with the final heats beginning around 3 p.m.
