Business Affairs is pleased to announce that the Simmons ESL Community Project concluded a successful first semester of classes this week. The program was developed in conjunction with the Scott/Ross Center for Community Service and was made possible by a $7,600 grant from the Diversity Council. The goal of the program is to offer instruction to any interested non-English speaking employee of Unicco or Aramark. Twenty-seven Unicco and thirteen Aramark employees registered for the classes this semester, which were held four times every week. Volunteers will continue to be recruited by the Scott/Ross Center through student fairs and classes and the program will resume in February for the spring semester.
