Sharks soccer squad earns academic honor

The Simmons College women’s soccer team was honored this week for their efforts in the classroom, as they were named a team academic award winner, by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. A total of 407 men and women collegiate soccer teams were bestowed with such an honor, but Simmons was one of just two in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference to be award. The program finished the 2006-2007 academic year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.22.
