Suffolk tops Sharks The Simmons College basketball team dropped its fourth straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest on Monday with a 56-43 decision to rival Suffolk. The Rams got 15 points and 12 rebounds from Meghan Tracey and 11 points from Stephanie Zito to pace their scoring. It was a close game early on in the first half, and stayed that way for the duration of the opening frame, as Suffolk took a 26-23 lead into the break. Simmons trailed by three with 13 minutes left, but the Rams ran off an 8-0 run to push the lead back up to 11 and put the game away. The Sharks were led by senior Nikki Cohen (Wellesley, Mass.) who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds on the day. Sarah Clayton (Falmouth, Mass.) chipped in with 11 points, and freshman Morgan Johnson (Waterbury, Conn.) added eight. The Sharks return to action on Wednesday with a home game against Albertus Magnus beginning at 7 p.m.
