Film Producer Denise Di Novi ‘77, Eileen Friars Leader in Residence, March 3

The entire Simmons community is invited to see this year’s Eileen Friars Leader in Residence Denise Di Novi ‘77. Ms. Di Novi is a Simmons alum and is considered one of Hollywood’s top producers and has been instrumental in bringing to the screen the work of several of today’s most imaginative filmmakers. Di Novi counts among her producing credits such diverse motion pictures as Heathers, Little Women and a number of films during her producing association with Tim Burton, including Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, James and the Giant Peach, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and Catwoman.
She will give a public presentation on Monday, March 3rd at 4:30 p.m. in the Kotzen Meeting Room. This will be followed by a reception in the Communications department to honor her inclusion in the “Wall of Honor.” The Wall of Honor is a permanent exhibit in the main lobby of the Department of Communications. It honors seven Simmons College honorary degree recipients, and the Communications Department’s founder.
