March 6, 12:30-1:30, P113.
Candy Schwartz (Professor & Coordinator of Doctoral Programs, GSLIS) and Megan Fox (Associate Director, Technology/Special Projects, Simmons Library) worked with Academic Technology to create and offer library workshops within Second Life (SL). SL is a 3-D online digital world imagined, created and owned by its residents. Perhaps you have been curious about Second Life (http://secondlife.com) but cautious about exploring it. Or maybe you’ve taken a look at the website and wished you could hear from others who have already bravely ventured inside. If you’re wondering about the relevance that this rapidly growing virtual world might hold for information specialists and educators, this lunch is for you.

Come learn and share your own ideas! Lunch provided, please call x2736 to register or email ptrc@simmons.edu.
