Simmons eLearning Tips are an ongoing series for faculty and staff that showcases new, old, and sometimes overlooked features of Simmons eLearning.

Trying to move large amounts of files or folders from your computer into your course can be a time consuming exercise. If you are on a Windows PC that has Internet Explorer 7 installed then you have an option to open your File Manager in such a way that it acts like a normal folder on your computer. You will be able to drag items into and out of your File Manager much the same way you drag and drop files on your computer. At this time the “Open as Web Folder” functionality is only available when using the Internet Explorer 7 web browser.

Step-by-step walkthroughs of this and other tips are available in the Simmons eLearning Tips Section of the Faculty Resource Center.

If you’d like more eLearning tips and tricks, we invite you to register for the upcoming Academic Technology Faculty Lunch on using eLearning to enhance your classroom teaching experience, featuring Sarah Volkman (SHS/Nursing), Friday, Feb. 29th, 12:30-1:30 in P113.
