The entire Simmons community is invited to see this year’s Eileen Friars Leader in Residence Denise Di Novi ‘77. Ms. Di Novi is a Simmons alumna and is one of Hollywood’s most successful producers, bringing to the screen the work of several of today’s most gifted filmmakers. Di Novi counts among her producing credits a number of films during her association with Tim Burton, including Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, James and the Giant Peach, and such diverse motion pictures as Heathers, Little Women , Practical Magic, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
She will give a public presentation on Monday, March 3rd at 4:30 p.m. in the Kotzen Meeting Room. This will be followed by a reception in the Communications Department to honor her inclusion in the “Wall of Honor.” The Wall of Honor is a permanent exhibit in the main lobby of the Department of Communications. It honors eight Simmons College honorary degree recipients, for their outstanding contribution to the field of communications.
