Members of the Simmmons community have access to a variety of software and hardware at great prices through our online stores. Two discounts may be of particular interest at the moment.

Adobe Creative Suite CS3
Until March 15, 2008, Adobe has extended their very low student pricing to faculty and staff. Throughout the year, students may purchase Adobe products at incredibly low prices, through a company called CDW-G. For example, Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium costs $299, instead of over $1,500.

Microsoft Office 2007/2008, and Windows Vista
Through e-academy, Simmons faculty, staff, and students have access to special Simmons pricing for a range of Microsoft software, including Office 2007/2008, and Windows Vista. (The new versions of Office and the Mac and Windows operating systems will be installed on all Simmons classroom and general access computers this August.) The prices are well below retail, and significantly less expensive than traditional academic pricing (for example, through Dell or Apple).

For software that can be used on your own computer, with no “strings attached,” choose the titles marked “student select.” Faculty and staff also have access to “work at home” titles, but such purchases require that you only use the software for Simmons work purposes.

You are limited to one copy of each title, and must fax or email a copy of your Simmons ID to complete your order.
