Date: Monday March 31st

Time: 5-6pm (with reception after)

Place: Linda K. Paresky Conference Center

Our last Warburg Lecturer for the Spring 2008 Lecture Series here at Simmons College will be former Congressman James Leach of Harvard University. James A. Leach is the Director of the Institute of Politics of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

At a time when many Americans are looking forward to a change of leadership Congressman Leach’s lecture will contrast differences in public and private leadership and suggest that certain dilemmas exist in our democratic system which foil the emergence of many high quality candidates.Congressmen Leach will suggest that the public challenges we face have been exacerbated by polarizing weaknesses in the political system and that there are credible reform approaches deserving of public attention.
