Social Justice Paid Summer Internships

Two Social Justice paid internships are available for this summer 2009. The internships are designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn from meaningful work in a community-based organization oriented toward social justice. They provide an excellent opportunity for students to learn effective organizing strategies, develop their problem solving skills, develop their knowledge base in a substantive social justice area, understand challenges community-based organizations face in carrying out social justice work, contribute to the organizational mission of a community partner.
Applications are due to Professor Carole Biewener (E203) by 12:00 on Monday, April 14.
To be eligible, students must have completed SJ 220 and SJ 222. Preference will be given to those who will be Simmons students in the fall 2009 semester.
