Cohen earns recognition

After closing out a terrific career this season Simmons College senior center Nikki Cohen was honored by the coaches in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference as a member of the all Sportsmanship Team. “Nikki is very deserving of the award, she is a class act on and off the court, I always point out to the team, refs, parents and fans that no player on Simmons takes the beating night in and night out that she takes inside the post area, because of her size its expected, but know where is it written that because of a players size & height, they should be allowed to absorb more physical contact. Yet despite the unfair advantage, you never see Nikki complain to the referees and she’s never received a technical for unsportsmanlike behavior.
