Jerry Kane is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Recently, Jerry has garnered national recognition for his thoughtful and innovative use of wikis in the courses that he teaches, including a write-up in the Chronicle for Higher Education. For Kane, the course wiki is a primary learning resource that replaces the textbook, provides a place where students can post and discuss possible exam questions, and improves collaboration among students. Come hear Jerry discuss strategies for using wikis to stimulate discussion, capture and share knowledge, better support students, and improve student academic performance.
