About the Faculty Showcase: This year’s Showcase is an opportunity to learn about the role technology is playing in teaching, learning, and research across the College. A series of posters will be on display to highlight innovative work being done by over fifteen Simmons College faculty members.
This Week: Vipin Gupta

POSTER TITLE: Use of Targeted Audio in an Online Course
Blended learning has significantly changed the way communication happens in my class. This mode of teaching allows for far more frequent communication with my students. At the beginning of the semester, I always tell my students to come to me if they meet any road blocks. In the past, they would primarily wait until our face-to-face class to speak with me. Now they perceive our class as something that is happening beyond a set time and place. Overall, they are using me more productively in my blended courses.
On April 23rd, from 3:00-5:00 in the Kotzen room, Simmons faculty and staff are invited to attend a Faculty Showcase and reception. As part of the lead-up to the Faculty Showcase we are spending some time each week to spotlight the innovative work that will be shown at this year’s Showcase.
