Essays & Studies, a journal of excellent academic writing by Simmons students, is accepting submissions for its 2008 issue. CAS graduate and undergraduate students are invited to submit papers. Submissions are due by Wednesday, May 16, and must meet requirements detailed at http://my.simmons.edu/academics/writing-center/burns/essays/index.shtml.
Essays & Studies, founded in 1943, is the journal of academic work by students in the College of Arts and Sciences at Simmons College. Its editors are committed to publishing excellent papers each year by graduate and undergraduate students from all disciplines.
To submit your work for consideration for the 2008 issue, follow these guidelines.
Paper specifications:
10pp. max. length (not including references, notes, and appendices), double-spaced, 1” margins, 12pt. Times New Roman
Include an abstract (300 words maximum)
Use publication style (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual, etc.) appropriate for discipline
Submission instructions:
Deadline for all submissions to Essay & Studies: Wed., May 16, 2008
Submit via attached document (MS Word) to terry.muller@simmons.edu
In body of e-mail, include: Name;
Major(s), if declared;
Status (graduate or undergraduate student);
Graduation year;
Name of course in which the paper originated;
Associated professor
If the paper is accepted, the editors of Essays & Studies may require further revision before publication.
