Planning on taking NUR 225 in Fall 2008 and need to complete pre-requisites

If you have not met the science prerequisite requirements for enrollment in NUR 225 this fall (you received) a grade less than a C+ in one or more of the science prerequisite courses and you still wish to try to enter NUR 225 in the fall you will need to follow these steps:
You must return a Plan for Completion letter stating when you intend to repeat your science prerequisites. This letter can be found in the Nursing Department.
If this letter is not returned to the ARB chairperson susan.duty@simmons.edu by May 22nd, you will be deregistered from nursing courses and your spot in the nursing program for the fall will be given up.
If you intend to repeat the course(s) in the summer you must do so during the FIRST summer semester.
If the student is planning to take a science course outside of Simmons or the Colleges of the Fenway, a Transfer Credit Evaluation form from the registrars office must be completed BEFORE the course is begun AND the science department must sign off on this course to determine if it meets the prerequisite criteria.
Additionally, the student must have the transcript documenting successful completion of the summer science course(s) (and lab) with a C+ or better sent (or hand delivered) directly to Shana Jarvis in the nursing office by July 30, 2008. Failure to receive the transcript by this date will result in the student being deregistered from nursing courses and her spot in the nursing program will be given up.
Please pay particular attention to these requirements and processes as they will be strictly adhered to.
Please note that all courses must be completed in the first summer semester in order to meet these deadlines.
Do not delay registering for classes.
If you choose to take science courses outside of Simmons College, please know that you must fill out a Transfer of Credit form (obtained from the Registrar) BEFORE taking the class.
Additionally not all science courses meet the prerequisite and you should check with the appropriate science department or your nursing advisor to ensure the course you are intending to take will meet the prerequisite.
Please return the letter (can be found in the Nursing Department) at your earliest convenience and not later than May 22nd to the attention of Dr. Susan Duty in the nursing office or by email at susan.duty@simmons.edu
