Monday, May 5 at 5:30 PM C-103 in the Main College Building

During this Red Sox Lottery, we will be selling tickets to three games:

Tuesday, June 3 vs. Tampa Bay: Outfield Grandstand, $30 each (110 available: open to entire Simmons community.)

Saturday, September 13 vs. Toronto: Bleachers, $26 each (125 available: open to undergrads only.)

Tuesday, September 23 vs. Cleveland: Outfield, $30 each (77 available: open to undergrads only.)

Initially, each person who has picked up a ticket and is present at the raffle (or present by proxy) will be allowed to buy two tickets. If there are left-over tickets at the end of the lottery, we will let anyone still interested participate in a new lottery to buy the remaining tickets.

How the lottery works: Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, each Simmons community member interested in buying tickets may pick up one lottery ticket from the Office of Student Leadership and Activities in MCB W-002 (in the Student Activities Center between Lefavour Hall and the Simmons College Bookstore.) We will continue giving out tickets daily between 9:00 and 4:30 p.m. daily. We will give out tickets until 5:15 p.m. on Monday, May 5.

At the beginning of the event, we will draw a lottery ticket and will begin selling tickets from that point. For example, if we draw number 57, we will sell the first two tickets to the person with ticket 57. The second two will go to the person with ticket 58, then ticket 59, and so on. When we have sold tickets to the person with the highest number, we will return to ticket 01 and move upwards until everyone has had a chance to purchase tickets. If there are tickets left over at the end, we will let anyone who is still present and interested in buying additional tickets participate in a new smaller lottery.

If you are a staff member, faculty member, or graduate student and your number is called, you may buy two tickets to the June 3 game.

If you are an undergraduate student and your number is called, you may choose from any available tickets to any of the three games.

We are allowing those who are unable to attend the raffle to send a proxy in their place. If you wish to send a proxy, you must send your raffle ticket AND your student ID with them. They will be allowed to purchase two tickets on your behalf.

Only cash and checks made out to Simmons College will be accepted (absolutely no credit cards, debit cards, or Fenway cards) and ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Additional tickets to the September 23 game will be open to undergraduate students at the beginning of the fall 2008 semester through a lottery system. There will be approximately 125 tickets and they will be $26 each for bleacher seats.

If you have any questions about the tickets or lottery process, please call The Office of Student Leadership and Activities at 617.521.2423 or email student.activities@simmons.edu

And, of course…LET’S GO RED SOX!
