A message from Study Abroad Program Manager Hilary Wilson:

I am in the process of recruiting for the spring 2009 travel courses and would like to share some important program information.

I have attached the current schedule of travel courses being offered for the spring 2009 semester to this message. Please announce these opportunities to your students and encourage their participation. The deadline to submit spring 2009 travel course applications is December 1, 2008. Students may also consult the study abroad website at www.simmons.edu/studyabroad for program brochures. Generally, the travel courses count for academic credit and travel is with a Simmons faculty member and group of students for 10 days to four weeks during vacation periods (winter break, spring break or summer). Class meetings are held during the semester before departure to academically prepare students for the travel component. Travel package costs can be covered through federal and state financial aid and are tax-deductible. Students should contact their financial aid rep to discuss their individual situation.

I am more than happy to do a classroom visit to speak with your students for 5 to 10 minutes about the available travel courses. Please let me know if you would like me to visit your class. For more information please feel free to contact me at 617-521-2181 or hilary.wilson@simmons.edu. Thanks,

Hilary Wilson Education Abroad Program Manager
